Jalisco Lowlands
The Jalisco Lowlands, or El Valle de Tequila, is a key region for tequila production, located in the lower-altitude areas of Jalisco. The warmer climate and richer, heavier soils of the lowlands allow Blue Weber agave plants to grow faster, producing tequilas with bolder, earthier, and more robust flavors compared to those from the Highlands. Tequilas from this region often exhibit pronounced herbal, spicy, and peppery notes, making them ideal for complex blends or bold sipping expressions. Many well-known tequila producers source agave from the Lowlands to create distinctive, full-bodied spirits that showcase the unique characteristics of this fertile and historic growing region.
